Do I still need to have a paper logbook?

It depends on your countries regulations

In most countries you are still required to maintain a paper record of your flight experience, so our Excel Pilot Logbook cannot replace your paper logbook.

However, we recommend checking with your own countries regulator to confirm.

An electronic logbook is still a great tool to have regardless and a lot of pilots use it in conjunction with their paper logbook to verify all of their manual calculations and of course to see all of their currency at a glance, without having to work it all out.

It's also gives you the peace of mind of having a backup copy of your logbook, should anything happen to your paper logbook.
