Select "Calculate Automatically" and it will then recalculate every time you enter a new flight (or update any settings etc).

You can also set it to "Calculate before Saving" or only when you click the "Recalculate All" button in the Formulas menu.

This solution also works if your logbook is Slow, sluggish or freezing
