Excel Pilot Logbook does not have its' own mobile App to use. The Excel Pilot Logbook is a spreadsheet. So all you need, is an App on your mobile to open/edit the spreadsheet - and ideally, that App would sync with files on your computer, so you can access the spreadsheet on all of your devices.

We recommend using Google Sheets, which is available for free. To set this up, please see our help article: Access from any web browser or device.

Alternatively, if you don't want to use Google Sheets, you can download one of the popular, free file-sharing applications on your iPhone, iPad or Android device. However, you will still need an App to open/edit the spreadsheet.

File-Sharing Applications

  • Google Drive <-- the best one to use with Google Sheets
  • iCloud
  • Microsoft OneDrive
  • Dropbox

App's to open/edit the spreadsheet

We recommend the following Apps to open and edit the Excel Pilot Logbook on your mobile devices - in order of preference:

  • Google Sheets
  • Excel
  • Numbers

It is not possible to download the Excel Pilot Logbook directly to your iPad or iPhone; the download will fail. Instead, download to your computer first.

How to transfer the spreadsheet to your mobile

  1. Download and Save the Excel Pilot Logbook file onto your laptop or desktop computer first.
  2. Upload the Excel Pilot Logbook file to the file-sharing application of your choice (again, we recommend Google Sheets) from your computer.
  3. Download the Google Sheets App where you can then view/edit the logbook from any device.
